Abstract
This Regulation defines the manner for the implementation of appropriate and effective measures aimed to detect and control the Salmonella and other zoonotic agents at all relevant stages of production, processing and distribution, and especially at the level of primary production, including animal feed, also in order to reduce the risk posed to public health.
This Regulation closely provides: the adoption of targets for the reduction of the prevalence of certain zoonotic agents in animal populations (at the level of primary production; zoonotic agents in other stages of the food chain, including food and feed); the approval of specific control programs designated by the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the approval of the competent authorities of local entities/cantons; the special rules for certain methods of control to be applied in order to reduce the prevalence of zoonoses and zoonotic agents; the rules regarding the transactions within other countries and imports of certain animals and their products from foreign countries.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
