Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the content and method for the designation and elaboration of the long-term programme on local karst management.
As determined by the provisions of this text, an area denominated as karst area is a unique form of carbonate (dolomitic landscape underlain by limestone which has been eroded by dissolution) limestone relief with special hydrogeological and geomorphological characteristics characterized by karst hydrology and karst phenomena (scrapes, ponies, coves, karst fields, caves, pits and similar).
The spatial area of a specific karst terrain will be regulated and based on a long-term programme of karst management (for a period of ten years).
The management of the karst area is mainly based on the use of general forest functions.
