Abstract
This Law regulates the policy and planning, administration and management of forests and forest areas and forest land on the territory of the Republic of Srpska, autonomous district of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This Law further defines all necessary rules and requirements aimed to regulate the mandatory forest protection, financing and use of forests, Forest Agency duties and obligations, Forest Commission powers and relations, cadastre and forestry information system, property relations and obligations, as well as other issues of importance for the safe, sustainable and secure management and development of forests.
The provisions of this Law shall apply to all forests and forest lands and to all sorts of property.
Forests are natural resources of common interest and they enjoy special care and protection of the Serbian Republic. The right to use the forest and forest land can be limited when it is in public interest.
The Law is divided into XIV Chapters and 109 articles, including offences and related penalties.
