Abstract
This Regulation prescribes general rules on hygiene of animal feed, including conditions for all related actions, security procedures for feed traceability, and issues on necessary registration and approval of facilities that are dealing with animal feed. This Regulation shall apply to: a) activities of food business operators for animals at all levels starting from the primary production up marketing and trade; b) feeding of animals used for food production; c) imports from other countries and exports to other countries of animal feed.
The text is structured as follows: (Part one) General provisions; (Part Two) Obligations; (Part Three) Guides to good practice (including HACCP issues); (Part Four) Import and export; (Part Five) Final provisions. The Annex is also part of this publication (containing detailed technical indications, standards and procedure and protocol lists).
