Abstract
This Regulation determines the provisions aimed at controlling and defining the terms for classification, production, processing, advertising and marketing, packaging and labelling, of food classified as food for special dietary needs.
These are the categories of food for special dietary needs: infant formulas and formulas for after breastfeeding period; processed cereal foods/infant and adolescent food; food intended for use in energy-restricted diet aimed at reducing the body weight; food intended for people with metabolic disorders (also for diabetes disorder); food intended for increasing of the body weight/mass (especially for athletes); diet food for special medical purposes.
The Annex is also part of this publication (containing the complete list of elements authorized as food enrichment/additive).
