Regulation on the implementation of analytical methods and interpretation of results.

This Regulation provides measures for analytical methods used in the examination of official samples, which shall be taken in accordance with the Decision on monitoring the residues of certain substances in live animals and products of animal origin (published in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina 1/2004 and amended in the Gazette 40/2009). This text also determines the common criteria for interpreting such analytical results obtained from samples in authorized laboratories.
Official samples are taken in accordance with the applicable residue control regulations and analyzed with methods that are: a) specified in the instructions, preferably in accordance with ISO 78-2; b) in accordance with Annex I of this Regulation; c) validated in accordance with the procedures described in Annex II to this Regulation; d) in accordance with the minimum required performance limits for that particular method. Analytical methods used to detect the following substances must be in accordance with minimum required performance limits for related matrices, as listed in Annex III (table 15) of this Regulation: a) chloramphenicol; b) nitrofuran metabolites; c) medroxyprogesterone; e) malachite green. Quality control of this kind of sample analysis results is ensured by monitoring tests and/or calibration results, in accordance with requirements of the standard BAS EN ISO/IEC 17025, Chapter 5.9.
