Regulation on the implementation of forest inventories on large areas.

This Regulation determines the aims and sets the rules for the implementation of the large-scale forest inventory, which is here defined as a multifaceted and comprehensive collection of data on forests and forest land, to be collected for the purpose of identifying the state, monitoring over diverse factors and possible changes and reporting on the state of forests for the purposes of forest and environmental protection, nature conservation, wood processing industry, and for other forest related goals and users.
The above mentioned forest inventory includes complex surveys/mapping (also by using the satellite detection for precise designation of boundaries and forest surfaces, Gauss Krueger Bessel coordinate system), and recording on exterior tracts or field plots.
