Regulation on maximum levels of pesticide residues in and on food and animal feed of plant and animal origin.

This Regulation determines the maximum levels of pesticide residues (Maximum Residue Levels-MRL) in and on food and animal feed of plant and animal origin, in order to ensure a high level of consumer protection. This text takes over the provisions and parameters of the Regulation (EC) No. 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin and amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC. This Regulation applies to products of plant and animal origin or their parts listed in Annex I, which is part of this text, whether they are used as fresh, processed and/or as mixed feed and animal feed on or in which pesticide residues may be present.
