Abstract
This Regulation adopts various measures for the prevention, control and eradication of transmissible spongiform Encephalopathy (Encephalopathies or TSE) in certain animals.
The decision applies to the production and marketing of live animals and animal products.
This decision does not apply to: cosmetic or medicinal products or medical devices, or to their starting materials or by-products; products not intended for use in human food, animal feed or fertilizers, or as a raw material or as by-products; products of animal origin intended for exhibition, teaching, scientific research, special studies or analysis (if not used as products that intended for final human consumption or similar); live animals used in or intended for the use in research and/or purely scientific purposes.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
