Abstract
This Regulation determines the food safety related provisions governing with plastic materials and plastic items or objects that are intended to come into direct contact with food and foodstuff.
This text, with the aim of protection of human health and consumer interests, here sets the necessary plastic materials and plastic food packaging conformity assessment issues, related administrative requirements, and declaration of proven conformity; sets the classification of diverse types of plastic items; market rules (article 5); and also sets the limits of tolerance for possible contamination.
