Regulation on the prohibition of the use of certain beta-agonists and substances of hormonal and thyristatic action in animals.

This Regulation prohibits the use of certain beta-agonists, of substances with hormonal and thyrostatic action in animals. This text further defines the conditions of possible application of some of these substances.
It is prohibited to place on the market the substances listed in Annex I of this text, as for the purpose of their use on animals whose meat and products are intended for human consumption, except for purposes referred to in article 6 (setting exceptions on the possible use of allyl-trenbolone and beta agonists). It is also forbidden: a) the application of substances listed in Annexes I and II to farm animals, and aquaculture animals; b) the keeping, except under official control, of farm animals, and aquaculture animals, placing on the market or slaughter for the purpose of consuming those farm animals containing the substances listed in the Annexes I and II; c) the placing on the market of aquaculture animals intended for human consumption which have been treated with substances listed in Annexes I and II as well as processed products originating from such animals; d) the placing on the market of meat of animals referred to in point b) of this article and processing of deriving meat.
