Abstract
This Regulation provides for basic classification, necessary criteria and food safety standards as regards the quality and chemical composition, production rules and micro biological issues for raw and/or fresh unprocessed milk (for cow milk, goat/sheep and other milk obtained by mammal secretion, and not exposed to thermal heat or other transformation/pastorization process) that is intended for further processing or production purposes, or for direct placing on the market.
This text (see article 11) further sets the standard as term of reference for official testing and milk analyzing laboratories that will have to be accredited according to the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
