Abstract
This Regulation defines the food safety related issues as regards the salt intended for human consumption (also food production, food industry).
This text stipulates the basic quality conditions, issues covering the nutrition and food industry salt needs, technical and chemical issues and rules to be observed during production, processing, and distribution.
This Regulation also sets the classification of diverse types of salt as follows: salt obtained by evaporation of saline water; stone, obtained by mineral expropriation; marine salt, obtained by direct evaporation of the seawater.
