Abstract
This Regulation determines the food safety provisions aimed for spreadable fats (foodstuff for human consumption).
Spreadable fats are divided into different categories as follows: milk fats, animal origin fats and plant origin fats.
This text sets the market issues and rules; rules regarding the composition of fats; possibility to add additives, enzymes, vitamins and other; declaration, packaging and labelling; official inspection provisions.
The Annex is part of this publication (containing the classification and list of spreadable fats).
