Abstract
This Regulation provides for rules and food safety related terms as regards the starch and starch-based products (here described as powder, granule or crystal, obtained by appropriate technological processing of starchy products/raw materials such as corn, potatoes, wheat, rice and other similar).
This text sets the: basic quality requirements for those products if used for dietary purposes or as ingredient of other food; conditions for placing on the market; manufacturer's specification; declaration/labelling of starch and starch products; allowed use of additives and auxiliaries (among other technological procedures); storage, transport and storage, official controls and inspections; necessary conformity assessment issues.
The Annex is part of this publication (list of technical parameters and data).
