Regulation on strategic impact assessment of environmental plans and programmes (Canton of Sarajevo).

This Regulation prescribes the necessary conditions, methods and procedures for carrying out certain environmental impact assessment plans and programmes, part of the strategic evaluation principles.
The rules here provided are aimed at ensuring a high level of environmental protection, at promoting the sustainable development by integrating the basic principles of protection into the process of preparation and adoption of related strategic documents (here called plans and programmess); at conserving the natural wealth, water and energy resources; at imposing the principle of integrity (inclusion of environmental protection requirements; prevention of the pollution); at implementing the precautionary principle; at implementing the access to information right.
