Law on the environmental protection.

This Law regulates: the conservation, protection, restoration and enhancement of environmental quality and the capacity of the environment, and quality of life; the measures and requirements for mandatory and sustainable nature management, conservation and rational utilization of natural resources in environment on the territory of the Federation of BiH; the legal measures and institutions competent for the conservation, protection and improvement of environmental protection and/or conditions; the financial activities related to the environment; all necessary tasks and duties of administrative bodies at various levels of government.
The basic goals of this Law are: the reduction of use of certain sites or aspects aimed to prevent the pollution of the environment, as well as the improvement and restoration of the damaged environment of damaged natural sites; the protection of human health and the improvement of environmental conditions for a sustainable and necessary minimum quality of life; the conservation and protection of natural resources, rational use of resources and a way by which the economy can ensure the restoration of resources or damaged goods; the collaboration with other entities engaged in environmental protection; mandatory international cooperation in environmental protection sector; the constant encouragement of the public participation; concrete coordination of economic and social integration and economic development in accordance with the requirements of the environment protection; the establishment and development of new institutions for the protection and preservation of the environment.
This Law is divided into 18 Chapters and 119 articles, including all necessary offences and penalties.
