Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the objectives and method of sampling aimed to reduce the presence of Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella infantis, Salmonella hadar, Salmonella typhimurium, including monophasic Salmonella typhimurium with antigenic formula 1,4, [5], 12: i: - and Salmonella Virchow, in adult breeding flocks of Gallus gallus. Target for salmonella reduction in adult breeding flocks species of Gallus gallus is here established as 1% or less of the maximum percentage of adult breeding flocks of Gallus gallus that are positive on relevant salmonella serotypes.
The Annex is also part of this publication (containing the complete testing programme designed to determine the accomplishment of goals aimed to reduce the presence of relevant serotypes of Salmonella in adult breeding flocks of Gallus gallus).
