Special surveillance program for the presence of nematodes in plant production in the Republika Srpska in 2024.

This program determines the measures, deadlines, method of implementation of the measures, area of operation, entities implementing them, sources and method of provision and use of funds, as well as the method of control of the implementation of special surveillance measures over the presence of nematodes in plant production in the Republika Srpska in 2024. The objective of this program is to determine the presence, or absence, of nematodes at places of production of planting material, in production plantations of host plants, in import shipments, and places of trade in planting material and seeds. The subject of monitoring are nematodes that are vectors of viruses of the Longidoridae family, the stem nematode Ditylenchus dipsaci, the apple nematode Meloidogyne mali and the nematode species Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica, M. hapla, M. arenaria, M. Enterolobi, Pratylenchus penetrans and P. vulnus. Special surveillance to determine the presence of nematodes in plant production shall be carried out at border crossings and throughout the territory of the Republic of Srpska.
