Abstract
This program determines the measures, deadlines, method of implementation of the measures, area of operation, entities implementing them, sources and method of providing and using funds, as well as the method of controlling the implementation of special surveillance measures over the presence of the pine nematode in the Republika Srpska in 2024. The aim of this program is to determine the presence, or rather the absence, of the pine nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and vector insects of the genus Monochamus at places of production of planting material, natural stands and public areas. The most important host plants of the pine nematode are pines, i.e. the genus Pinus, but also species of the genera Abies, Chamaecyparis, Cedrus, Larix, Picea and Pseudotsuga.
