Special surveillance program for the presence of the quarantine pest Grapevine flavescence dorée phytoplasma, FD in the Republika Srpska in 2024.

This program establishes the measures, deadlines, method of implementation of measures, entities implementing them, sources and method of provision and use of funds, as well as the method of control of the implementation of special surveillance measures over the presence of the harmful organism Grapevine flavescence dorée phytoplasma, FD on the territory of the Republic of Srpska in 2024. The objective of this program is to determine the presence, or rather the absence, of quarantine harmful organisms at the places of production of planting material, in production plantations of host plants, and at the places of entry of consignments of planting material that are imported. Special surveillance for the detection of quarantine harmful organisms shall be carried out at border crossings and throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Srpska where the production of planting material is eventually located and where production plantations of host plants are present. Special supervision and supervision measures shall be carried out by the Republic Administration for Inspection Affairs and authorized institutions that have the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management to carry out tasks of public interest in the field of diagnostics of harmful organisms and protection of plant health. The authorized institution shall prepare information leaflets with expert advice on methods of preventing the spread and possible pathogen and vector control measures. The main host plant of this particular harmful organism causing grapevine golden yellows is grapevine (Vitis spp.), and in addition to it, its presence has been determined on Clematis vitalba L., alder (Alnus spp.), and ash or sourwood (Ailanthus altissima [Mill.] Swingle), hazel (Corylus avellana L.), willows (Salix sp.) and others.
