Special surveillance program for the presence of the quarantine pest Monilinia fructicola (Winter) Honey – the causative agent of American brown rot of pome and stone fruit trees in the territory of the Republic of Srpska in 2024.

This program establishes measures, deadlines, methods of implementing measures, entities implementing them, sources and methods of providing and using funds, as well as methods of controlling the implementation of special surveillance measures over the presence of Monilinia fructicola (Winter) Honey - the causative agent of American brown rot of pome and stone fruit trees on the territory of the Republic of Srpska in 2024. The aim of this program is to determine the presence or absence of the quarantine harmful organism Monilinia fructicola - the causative agent of American brown rot of pome and stone fruit trees at the points of entry of host plant consignments that are imported, in parent plantings of registered nurseries, on agricultural holdings and homesteads, as well as in production plantings of host plant species of the pathogen listed in the list of host plants of the quarantine harmful organism Monilinia fructicola in Annex 1. Host plant species of this pathogen in the Republika Srpska are stone fruit species of the genus Prunus, then pome species, as well as other plants. Special surveillance shall investigate a wider area, i.e. localities where host plants are grown, in order to determine the status of the investigated area for the specified organism, and to determine possible routes of entry or spread.
