Special surveillance program for the presence of the quarantine pest Xylella fastidiosa Wells et al. - the causative agent of Pierce's disease in the territory of the Republika Srpska in 2024.

This program establishes the measures, deadlines, method of implementation of measures, entities implementing them, sources and method of provision and use of funds, area of operation, as well as the method of control of the implementation of special surveillance measures over the presence of Xylella fastidiosa Wells et al. - the causative agent of Pierce's disease on the territory of the Republika Srpska in 2024. The objective of this program is to determine the presence, or rather the absence, of the quarantine harmful organism Xylella fastidiosa - the causative agent of Pierce's disease in registered nurseries, in seedling producers, on agricultural holdings, on public areas, in production plantations of plant species that are hosts to the pathogen, in home gardens and at the points of entry of consignments of plant species that are hosts to the pathogen, which are also subject to phytosanitary inspection upon import. Potential host plant species of this pathogen are: grapevine, citrus, olive, oleander, species of the genus Prunus - primarily peach and cherry, as well as lavender, rosemary, pelargonium, vinca and plant species listed in Annex 1 of this program, which forms an integral part of it.
