Abstract
This Act lays down provisions on the management of public procurement; functions of Chief Procurement Officer and the head of procuring entity; establishment of Public Procurement Tribunal; planning of procurement; procurement to be conducted with certain objectives, such as promoting sustainable development; methods of procurement; procurement of public-private partnership; registration, eligibility and qualifications of suppliers; general and miscellaneous provisions related to procurement; and offences and penalties. First Schedule of this Act sets out the Protocol on public procurement for the Caribbean Community. The provisions of this Act shall be in compliance with the Protocol, and in case of conflict the requirements of the Protocol shall prevail.
