Sand and Soil Management (Amendment) Act, 2023 (Act No. 35 of 2023).

This Act amends the Sand and Soil Management Act, 2010 (principal Act). In section 2 of the principal Act, the definition of District Commissioner is added and the definition of Balumhal is substituted. Section 4 relating to prohibition on excavation of sand or soil is substituted. Section 7 is substituted and thereafter, new sections 7A and 7B are added. Section 9 and 10 of the principal Act are amended. Further, in the principal Act, sections 11 and 13 are substituted and sections 14 and 15 are amended.
