Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024 (Ordinance No. 10 of 2024).

This Ordinance amends the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority Act, 1996 (principal Act). In the principal Act, after section 28, a new section 28A is added, which gives power to the government to remove the managing director of any authority. After section 30 of the said Act, a new section 30A is inserted to remove and appoint any officers and employees of the authority. Further, after section 42 of the principal Act, section 42A is added which gives the power to the government to abolish the board of the authority and appoint a committee to exercise all powers of the board.
