Decree amending the Decree RD-16-869 of 2 August 2011 on the calculation of the total share of energy from renewable sources in gross final consumption of energy and the consumption of biofuels and renewable energy in transport.

This Decree amends certain provisions part of the Decree RD-16-869 of 2 August 2011 on the calculation of the total share of energy from renewable sources in gross final consumption of energy and the consumption of biofuels and renewable energy in transport (originally published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Bulgaria 70/2011, and already amended in Gazettes 63/2014 and 42/2015).
Changes are related to the targets for the share of energy from renewable sources in gross final consumption (article 2); terms for the calculation of gross final consumption of energy from renewable sources (article 3); issues on reporting on electricity, heat and cooling energy produced from liquid fuels deriving from biomass (article 13); several amendments to the article 18 and 18a (detailed calculation rules for the share of biofuels and energy from renewable sources in transport).
This Decree also introduces the requirements of the article 2 of the Directive (EU) 2015/1513 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 September 2015 amending Directive 98/70/EC relating to the quality of petrol and diesel fuels and amending Directive 2009/28/EC on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources.
