Decree No. 179 implementing the Agricultural Producer's Protection Act.

This Decree regulates in detail the matters dealt with in the Agricultural Producer's Protection Act. Chapter I sets out general provisions. Chapter II determines the terms of application of protected purchase prices and forecast prices. Chapter III regulates the contracts to be stipulated between agricultural producers and the State Agricultural Fund, and the purchase of agricultural products at protected purchase prices. Chapter IV provides provisions regarding the organization and operation of the State Agricultural Fund. Financial and economic activities of the State Agricultural Fund are regulated in Chapter V. Chapter VI deals with the establishment and maintenance of the information system operated by the Fund. According to Chapter VII, regional agricultural services shall be established as authorities of the national administration. Chapter VIII regulates the export and import of agricultural products. The regime may include some temporary restriction for the purposes of protecting Bulgarian agricultural producers, preventing shortages of agricultural products of primary importance, protecting of consumers, and ensuring national physical balances of agricultural products for which protected purchase prices and forecast prices have been determined.
