Decree No 383 of 29 December 2016 on the adoption of tariffs and fees for water supply, water use and pollution.

This Decree determines the methods and minimum amounts of fees and charges to be paid for water related services (water supply and water use charges; and water pollution compensation fees).
These rules are meant for water abstraction from surface waters; groundwaters; mineral water resources; use of water bodies (seizure of sediment deposits from the Danube and water reservoirs; disturbance of the continuity of rivers by barriers);
These rules in terms of water pollution shall apply on discharge of waste water into surface waters; discharge of pollutants into groundwaters.
The main purpose of this text is to ensure the contribution of water users to the reimbursement of water services costs; provide the necessary economic incentives for efficient water use.
