Abstract
This Law amends various provisions stipulated by the Veterinary Law of the Republic of Bulgaria (Official Gazette 87/2005; 30, 31, 55 and 88/2006; 51 and 84/2007; 13, 36 and 100/2008; 27, 35, 74, 95 and 102/2009; 25 and 41/2010; 8 and 92/2011; 77, 82 and 97/2012; 7, 15, 66, 68, 83 and 99/2013; 98/2014; and 14/2015).
Significant changes are related to the general terms, definitions and denominations; relations between the state authorities in charge of veterinary related matters; various references of the adopted and updated European Council Directives and Regulations; specific animal health technical (sanitary, veterinary practices, veterinary medicine, data collection, registration and reporting) issues and obligations; and offences and related penalties.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 118 (paragraph 2 and 3) which shall enter into force on 1 January 2018.
