Law for Hunting and Protection of the Game.

This Law provides for the protection and management of game, for hunting rights and for the trade of game and game products.
The Law consists of 7 Chapters divided into 96 articles: General provisions (I); Organization of the hunting area and management of hunting economy (II); Right to hunting (III); Management and preservation of the game (IV); Trade with game and game products (V); Damages and indemnification (VI); Administrative punitive provisions (VII).
The hunting area of the country shall include all lands, forests and water areas and shall be distributed into hunting economic regions as specified in article 7. Activities and management bodies of state game breeding stations are discussed in detail in articles 8 to 13. The National Forest Department shall establish a Hunting council as a consultative body for the following: the organization of the hunting area; the management of the hunting economy; the preservation, reproduction, settlement and the use of the game on a national scale. A licence shall be issued for the right to hunt which includes hunting and acquisition of game, hunting trophies and game products. Activities for the management of game are provided for in articles 33 to 42 and include: preservation and enrichment of the species diversity; improvements of the habitats; preservation and reproduction of the game; achievement and maintenance of the admissible reserves, etc. Hunting shall be forbidden in specific places as listed in article 64. Article 65 specifies means and methods prohibited in hunting. Chapter V gives provisions on the exchange, import and export of game and game products. The indemnification for damages, caused by the game in the hunting economic regions to farm crops, forest vegetation and domestic animals in the region permitted for grazing, shall be paid by the persons managing the game (arts. 78 to 83).
