Abstract
This Regulation defines the requirements for collection and treatment processes and activities as regards the collection and management of medical waste (within the medical establishments, not meant for radioactive medical waste);
This text offers specific waste collection and transport rules to be observed when collecting, handling, treating and transporting the medical waste form medicine/medical facilities (generated by direct and/or indirect medical, scientific and other activities; bio-medical waste, solvents, heavy metals) that produce specific waste types that are classified as environmentally hazardous materials, in order to offer additional provisions to the Law on waste management, also aimed to protect public the health and the environment.
