Abstract
This Regulation, in relation to the food safety requirements, sets the necessary quality requirements for fresh fruits and vegetables; determines the conditions and procedures for carrying out quality control of fresh fruit and vegetables; and provides for the conditions and manner for establishing and maintaining the database of traders of fresh fruits and vegetables. Additional related topics closely covered in this text are as follows: qualification of fresh fruits and vegetables; packaging and labelling of fresh fruits and vegetables; conformity control, also export and import conformity controls.
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Bulgaria shall manage and coordinate the control of compliance of lots of fresh fruits and vegetables intended for marketing on the market with the regulatory quality requirements through the Directorate for Food and Feed Safety and Control.
