Abstract
This Regulation defines the health requirements for companion animals (listed in Annex 1) as regard their non-commercial purpose movement and transport, as well as requirements for carrying out checks on such type of movement and transport.
These rules shall be applied without prejudice to the requirements of the Law on biological diversity; shall be applied without prejudice to the requirements related to the veterinary and zootechnical checks on importation from foreign countries; does not apply to requirements other than veterinary ones when limiting the movement or transport of certain animal species or breeds.
This text closely sets the requirements for the identification of companion animals; veterinary medical requirements for moving and transporting companion animals between the Republic of Bulgaria and member states of the European Union; Veterinary medical requirements for moving and transporting companion animals from foreign or third countries; and animal passport issues.
Complete technical, administrative and veterinary forms and certifications are listed in the Annex.
