Abstract
This Regulation sets the rules on use of certain epoxy derivatives in manufacture process of materials and articles which, in their finished form, are intended for or will be brought into direct contact with food and foodstuff (materials and articles made of any kind of plastics; materials and objects covered with surface coating; adhesives intended for contact with food).
This text also determines the specific contamination limits for substances produced for that purpose. The List of substances under the terms of this Regulation is in article 2, contamination limits in articles 4 and 5.
These requirements are not meant for containers or tanks for storing foodstuffs with a capacity exceeding 10 000 liters and to the built-in or connected pipes covered with a special surface coating called "long-lasting coating".
