Abstract
This Regulation sets various updated requirements for packaging and packaging materials that are placed on the market, as well as for the separate collection of such materials, their necessary reuse and recycle quota and process, minimum percentage of recovery, creation and/or disposal of such waste.
The main objective of this text is to offer the requirements aimed to prevent the harmful impact of packaging waste on environment by the application of specific waste management measures, in order to minimize the health and environment impact and to prevent the excess of packaging waste generation.
This Regulation also sets several technical issues regarding the quality, placing on the market and marking of packaging materials that will become packaging waste.
The Annex is part of this text.
