Regulation No. 3 of 3 January 2006 on the recognition of the right to exercise the profession of veterinarian in the Republic of Bulgaria for citizens and persons that acquired veterinary medical education and/or legal capacity in one of the Member States of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

This Regulation determines the rules aimed for persons that are nationals of Member States and/or Switzerland and have completed the official veterinary medical education and/or have acquired the competence to practice the veterinary profession, and wishing to pursue this kind of profession on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
This text sets the detailed rules for the: necessary recognition of the right to exercise the profession of veterinarian for persons holding diplomas, certificates and other evidence of professional qualification in veterinary medicine issued in Member States or Switzerland; recognition of the right to exercise the profession of veterinarian for nationals of Member States which already exercise in their home country; mutual cooperation and exchange of information between the competent authorities in the phase of recognition procedures.,
