Regulation № 4 of 28 May 2019 on terms and conditions for use of the optional quality term "mountain product" and on the control over its use.

This Regulation determines the conditions and order for: (a) use of the optional quality denomination term "mountain product" or "mountain product quality"; (b) control over the correct use of such quality denomination. The term quality "mountain product" is used for products of animal origin; products of plant origin; honey and bee products.
This text further sets the procedure for keeping the register of producers of agricultural products and foodstuffs for which the optional term for quality "mountain product" is used. The control shall be exercised during the production and placing on the market of agricultural products and foodstuffs which are produced as “mountain product”. The term for quality “mountain product” shall be used only for description of products, intended for human consumption, which meet the conditions of article 31 (paragraph 1) of the Regulation (EU) № 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 November 2012 on quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs; Annexes attached to this publication contain the sample of the official logo or label “mountain product”, among other technical sheets and administrative forms. The logo or label “mountain product” shall be exclusive property of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and shall be provided for use to the persons entered in the proper register, as defined by article 12 of this Regulation.
