Abstract
This Regulation provides for requirements for the production and marketing of forest reproductive materials, intended in whole or in part for forestry purposes. This text also sets out the rules as regards state authorities and their powers in exercising control over the production and marketing of forest reproductive materials.
These rules shall apply to reproductive materials of tree species and their artificial hybrids, listed in the Annex 1 of this publication. Article 3 states that the requirements of this Regulation shall not apply to forest reproductive material or planting material or parts of plants intended for: non-forestry use or purpose; export or re-export to non-EU countries.
Chapter Three deals with trade and imports of forest reproductive materials; chapter Four with control over the production, trade, import and export of forest reproductive materials.
The Annex is also part of this publication (containing the list of tree species and artificially created hybrids; listed technical requirements; code list).
