Abstract
This Regulation defines the types of timber (or wood or tree cutting) activities as regards the forests and forest land on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria; the terms and procedure for the cutting and timber, also cutting of trees falling by its natural course; the rules for the marking of the timber and trees intended for cutting and the preparation of the accompanying documents; the terms and procedures for issuance of the necessary permits.
This text further establishes the system of forest management and timber regime measures within the requirements of the European ecological network called Natura 2000.
Activities object of this text, are carried out in order to improve the effective condition of forests, to restore, to preserve genetic resources, to harvest timbered wood, and to preserve and enhance the core functions of forests.
The Annex is part of this publication (list of forest types and natural habitats included within the protected areas under the Biological Diversity Act).
