Regulation on procedures of the Center for Food Chain Risk Assessment.

This Regulation determines the functions, structure, composition, procedures and staff related issues of the Bulgarian Center for Food Chain Risk Assessment, established by the national Law on Center for Food Chain Risk Assessment.
The center shall carry out scientific risk assessment along the food chain through independent, transparent and impartial analysis of scientific information on issues which directly or indirectly affect the health of animals and plants, plant and animal products, plant and animal reproductive material and food and feed safety; carry out the activities for the approval, renewal and revision of the authorization to use for certain active substances, antidotes and synergists under the terms and conditions of Regulation (EC) № 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 concerning the placing on the market of plant protection products and repealing Council Directives 79/117/EEC and 91/414/EEC; carry out assessments, prepare reports for assessment of plant protection products upon authorization, renewal, amendment and withdrawal of related authorizations for placing on the market and use of plant protection products, as under the conditions imposed by the of Regulation (EC) № 1107/2009; participate in projects of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and in projects of other international organizations.
