Abstract
This Regulation establish requirements for the production, marketing and storage of batteries and accumulators containing certain dangerous substances,as well as controlled treatment and disposal of spent batteries and accumulators. The Regulation is divided into 5 chapters, Additional Provision, Transitional and Concluding Provisions and 6 annexes. Chapter 1 sets out the general requirements. Chapter 2 deals with the requirements to the labelling of the batteries and accumulators containing dangerous substances. Chapter 3 deals with requirements to collection, storage, and treatment of the spent batteries and accumulators. Chapter 4 determines the products charges to be paid when marketing in the Republic of Bulgaria of batteries and accumulators. Chapter 5 sets out the conditions concerning the planning and the information activities to be executed by the producers and the importers of batteries and accumulators in the Republic of Bulgaria. All definitions are given in the Additional Provisions. Annex 1 enlists the categories of the batteries and accumulators containing dangerous substances. Annex 2 enlists the categories of the batteries and accumulators which are excluded from the scope of Article 4q item 1 of the Regulation. Annex 3 shows the marking sign to be put on the batteries and accumulators placed on the market. Annex 4 contains the tariff for batteries and accumulators charges. Annex 5 contains the form of the Application form – Declaration on refunding of imposed product charge for batteries and accumulators.
