Abstract
This Regulation sets out the necessary standards and procedures to be adopted by activities and facilities dealing/producing and/or handling with radioactive waste on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria(RAW) management.
This Regulation also prescribes the requirements, methods and safety rules regarding various procedures and steps related to the management of the radioactive waste.
The Regulation defines the obligations of the entities carrying out radioactive waste management activities. The entities which generate radioactive waste as a result of their activities are responsible for its safe management from the moment of generation of the radioactive waste to the moment when it is transferred to facility where it will be further treated.
