Regulation on the structure and operation of the State enterprise "Radioactive Waste".

This Regulation hereby determines the structure, the activities, the organization of the management, the main functions and activities of the structural units of the Bulgarian State enterprise called "Radioactive Waste", on the basis of the provisions stipulated by the Act on the safe use of nuclear energy.
The structures part of such unique management enterprise will also include the existing state-owned radioactive waste management facilities together with adjacent infrastructure and the land thereon.
The main subjects of activity of this enterprise are as follows: radioactive waste management, which includes all activities related to the handling, pretreatment, processing, conditioning, storage and disposal of radioactive waste, including the decommissioning of radioactive waste management facilities; construction, operation, rehabilitation and reconstruction of facilities for radioactive waste management; transport of radioactive waste off-site of the respective nuclear facilities; decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
