Abstract
This Regulation here defines the requirements for the placing on the market of electrical and electronic equipment, with various provisions in relation to the restrictions in terms of use of certain dangerous substances, including the rights and obligations of economic operators.
This Regulation decides that the placing on the market of electrical and electronic equipment shall not be permitted if the dangerous substances content is above the limits here established.
This text introduces the provisions of the Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
The Annex is also part of this text.
