Regulation on water consumption standards.

This Regulation stipulates the water consumption norms/standards as regards water use for the irrigation of agricultural crops.
The rules here provided are aimed to determine the optimal water quantities in the process of issuing permits for water abstraction; to calculate the annual water abstraction fees; to ensure the preservation of the quantity of waters; to control the effective water use; and to set the principles of adequate contribution of water users to environmental and resource costs.
The water consumption norms for irrigation of agricultural crops are subject to variations due to the different agro-climatic conditions of the national territory.
