Abstract
The aim of this Resolution is to protect date palm trees against diseases. The present Resolution is composed of 5 articles. Article 1 prohibits the importation or introduction of date trees, fronds, nursery plants and coconuts from countries affected by palm diseases. Article 2 allows the importation of date’s nursery plants in accordance with requirements and conditions specified by the Agricultural Quarantine Unit at the Plant Wealth Department. Article 3 contains offences and penalties.
