Abstract
This Order, consisting of 69 sections divided into seven Parts, made under Article 8313) of the Constitution, regulates and controls generation, transmission, distribution and use of electric power. Part 3 deals with the requirements for Licensing of Activities relating to Electricity. It specifies that no person shall engage in the: generation; transmission; or distribution of electricity, unless he is authorized to do so by an electricity licence granted under section 8 or is exempted under section 7. An application for electricity licensing, an extension or an exemption shall be: made in writing to the Authority and accompanied by the prescribed fee. The Order provides for: Authorized officers; Electrical energy supply and generation; Licence required for use or operation of electrical or supply installation; Offences and penalties related to illegal activities, etc.
