Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Public Health (Food) Act.
The Regulations provide for: fees; procedures for taking and dealing with food samples; the mode of labelling food; date marking on labels; the standard, composition, strength, potency, purity, quality, weight, shelf-life, etc. of any food; the prohibition to add or add more than a specified quantity of a prescribed substance; the introduction into any food of any extraneous substance, toxic substance, pesticide, heavy metal, antibiotic, oestrogen or mycotoxin; the importation of food exposed to ionizing radiation; etc.

These Regulations enter into force on 1 January 2001.
