Abstract
This Act establishes Environmental National Policy amendments. It consists of amending articles laying down competencies, composition and duties of the competent authorities entitled for managing and monitoring environmental sector (according to Act No. 6.938 of 31 August 1981). It creates the National System for Environment - SISNAMA and the Suprime Council for Environment - CSMA. It also concerns controls to be carried out by competent services and sanctions to be paid by offenders for environmental pollution.
